  • Oh man...How are you making these fabulously textured, richly colored images? Surely not MS Paint...?

  • As a huge fan of open source, I am using the GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP). Like all gnu stuff, it is somewhat cumbersome to install, but free. I installed the windows compiled binaries from: http://www2.arnes.si/~sopjsimo/gimp/stable.html

Of course, it will compile on pretty much any unix machine, or Mac as well.

I was big on gnu stuff when I was a graduate student, the web page (http://www.gnu.org/) looks exactly the same now as it did then. (But under the software directory, you will see new stuff that is uploaded and updated nearly every day.)

The GIMP is a bit cumbersome to learn, and I have not gotten the help files to work yet. Then again, your religion conviction requires that you do not use help files, so this may be the imaging program for you. (My computer religion calls on me to learn at least five short cut keys in every program that is often used, not including cut/paste, etc.).

  • Here are some of the Dysfunctional Family Circus edits: http://www.drivenbyboredom.com/gallery/gallery.php?x=26

Drivenbybordom.com did not create these, so it is stupid that they put their web-link on all of these.

Most of them are not funny, since it is just editing the caption with a few curse words.

For more info on the DFC, and the threat of lawsuits, check this out: http://www.free-definition.com/Dysfunctional-Family-Circus.html
